Happy Independence Day

This year, I was quite disappointed in our 4th of July celebrations.  They had cancelled all the parades in our area due to budget cuts, there were no city fireworks in our city due to budget cuts, and we didn’t even go out on a hike, walk, etc.  So, I was VERY excited to go to a little BBQ with the friends in our neighborhood.  Thank heavens Kristen loves the 4th or I’d have missed fireworks all together.

The girls had a lot of fun watching the fireworks

Maejae loved playing with the sparklers, and thought they were pretty fun.  She only stopped playing with them because she accidentally grabbed the lit end when she wasn’t looking at her sparkler.  Needless to say, she cried.  But, she got over it and didn’t have anything other than a small red mark.  Natalie, on the other hand, was a little timid and only played with the sparklers after Maejae and Daddy convinced her to.  But, even then, she was a little scared.

And this is just proof that I was there.  I took most of the pictures, and was incredibly pregnant, so I didn’t get in a lot of the pics.
