Slide Rock

My sister-in-law, Amy, and her 2 girls came to visit us in Arizona.  Nathan had to work all day, so we decided to take a girls trip to Sedona.  While we were there we went to slide rock, and had so much fun.  It was hot out, the water was cold, and the food was yummy!

Happy Independence Day

This year, I was quite disappointed in our 4th of July celebrations.  They had cancelled all the parades in our area due to budget cuts, there were no city fireworks in our city due to budget cuts, and we didn’t even go out on a hike, walk, etc.  So, I was VERY excited to go to a little BBQ with the friends in our neighborhood.  Thank heavens Kristen loves the 4th or I’d have missed fireworks all together.

Maejae loved playing with the sparklers, and thought they were pretty fun.  She only stopped playing with them because she accidentally grabbed the lit end when she wasn’t looking at her sparkler.  Needless to say, she cried.  But, she got over it and didn’t have anything other than a small red mark.  Natalie, on the other hand, was a little timid and only played with the sparklers after Maejae and Daddy convinced her to.  But, even then, she was a little scared.

And this is just proof that I was there.  I took most of the pictures, and was incredibly pregnant, so I didn’t get in a lot of the pics.

We did a short 1 mile hike because I was so pregnant, but it was a lot of fun watching the girls hike, and I loved all the green trees!  I MISS Oregon.

I absolutely love Silver Falls

My girls like posing.  They say they are “fashion models”.

Nathan took Natalie down a steep trail, and on the way down, Natalie slipped and fell.  She had a nice dirty bum for the rest of the hike!

After the hike, we had a BBQ and cooled off in the river.  It was such a fun day and I loved being outdoors.

Craft time with Grandma

Whenever we go to Grandma Beaumont’s house, the girls head to the craft room and pick out a craft.  This time, they make their own stepping stones to put in Grandma’s Garden.  Of course, Natalie was the perfectionist, and Maejae was the free spirit!

Jump World

For an early celebration of Maejae’s 2nd Birthday, we went to a trampoline place that Uncle Jason loves to play at.  It was so much fun watching everyone jumping (I didn’t jump cause I was over 7 months pregnant).  Maejae LOVED jumping and had a blast.

Our friends, Kassie and Matt, came to jump with us.

The kid’s favorite part was the foam pit.  They would jump as high as they could and land in the pit.  Natalie did great getting out herself, but Maejae needed a little help.

And finally – Boys will be Boys! Uncle Jason and Daddy had fun showing off their flips, spins, and extra high jumps.
